There are large variations in the quality and grading of green tea. Flavour is dependant on many factors including good provenance, growing and harvesting methods, parts of the tea plant used and of course freshness. The best green tea is said to come from Yame - Fukuoka and Kyoto. Shizuoka is where most of the mass produced green teas are grown and harvested. Green Tea benefits
The Japanese and Chinese have been drinking green tea for health and weight management reasons for thousands of years. Green tea is high in antioxidants and is said to be beneficial for reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer and cholesterol reduction, though previous scientific studies have been inconsistent.
