Oigen Foundry Cast Iron Cookware
Since 1852 Oigen has been making Nambu ironware in Mizusawa City. Their range of traditional ironware is said to last over 100 years if properly cared for.
Handmade By Master Craftsmen
Oigen products are refreshing change from the production line ironware of Europe. Each item is hand poured into a sand mould and individually finished by master craftsmen. Although model codes distinguish the different sizes each piece will vary under the craftsman’s hand.
Oigen & The Environment
Each item of ironware from Oigen is made from 70% - 75% recycled material. Since the old days broken or worn pieces have been melted down to make into new wares.
Induction Cooking
Since iron pots are made almost entirely from ferrous metal they are #1 for induction cooking.
