Fujiwara Teruyasu 150mm Petty and 195mm Gyuto Deal
For those of you who have yearned for Fujiwara's ridiculously awesome Maboroshi knives but have been afraid of the stupidly sharp paper thin edge or haven't wanted to pony up the big bucks, now's your chance. As part of our new Sydney store opening celebrations for a limited time we are offering this set of 2 Fujiwara knives for $300.
The 'Junior' Nashiji are a duet of blades that were discovered in the back of Fujiwara's shed from a few years back. They have been finished in Fujiwara's rustic style sharpened to a 'not so stupidly thin edge' (so a little more robust) and will suit the majority of users. The Juniors are paired with a more simplistic pakkawood handle.
Fujiwara san is a 4th generation blacksmith with a long lineage of tool, sword and knifemakers. His great grandfather was originally a Meiji period blacksmith forging agricultural tools for farmers in 1870. Fujiwara II was a swordsmith. Fujiwara III was a specialist in traditional single bevel Japanese kitchen knives. Current generation Fujiwara IV is most well known for his mindblowingly sharp Maboroshi No Meito knives.
*(Not to be confused with Fujiwara Kanemasa)
