Matcha Chawan
There is a long tradition of preparing matcha (a type of tea used in the tea ceremony) in Japan and just as much importance is placed on the utensils used as the tea itself. Matcha chawan can range in prices up to the thousands of dollars depending the heritage of the kiln, skills of the artisan and intricacy of the glaze.
We are happy to offer an authentic Matcha chawan at a reasonable price without compromising quality. This chawan is made from the clays found just outside of Kyoto and is fired in one of the kilns used in ancient times.
