Makoto Petty 135mm
The first Makoto release in Australia, powder steel petty knife with a superfine edge. An excellent blade for precision cutting but tough/strong tasks should be avoided.
Makoto Sakura Series
Makoto has created a knife series that will make you rethink your cutting style. Ridiculously sharp, the Sakura series has an ultra-fine edge and excels in slicing with pinpoint accuracy.
With razor sharpness also comes responsibility, these knives can't handle abuse and require lighter handling. If you're too rough with these knives or cut through the wrong ingredients you will no doubt chip the edge.
However, if you're after a truly razor sharp knife and are au fait with the care disclaimers, you will rave about these knives. They are superb cutters.
Handles are an understated shade of cherry wood "Sakura" with tan pakkawood bolsters, very easy on the eye.
- Powder steel (stainless) for advanced edge retention
- 50:50 symmetrical edge grind for left/right handers
- Japanese style "wa" handles in raw cherry wood for secure grip
- Strictly limited production
