Namazake Tasting - Japanese Sake

MELBOURNE

With the weather warming its time to get in the raw. Sake, unlike wine relies on pasteurisation (instead of chemicals) to keep it form spoiling at shelf temperature. If you see this symbol on a bottle of sake 生 it means that it is Namazake (nama means raw, or unpasteurised). Namazake is an excellent introduction to the new sake palate as it exudes lively and generally more intense characters than regular pasteurised sake.

Get in the raw with us on Saturday 5th November as we uncork a handful of Namazake including a cracking bottle of Sparkling sake that's perfect for the spring racing carnival season. Free Event. Bookings Essential. To register your interest email: richmond@chefsarmoury.com with a) name of event b) number of people c) full names of all attendees.
