Koyuki translates as small snow and lightly dimpled surface of this Oigen teapot reminds us of the superfine snow during the frigid Iwate winter. In contrast, cast iron teapots have excellent heat retention allowing you to enjoy hot tea no matter how cold it is outside. Just remember to warm the pot beforehand.

Oigen have been making cast iron products since 1852 and their teapots are enjoyed the world over. This product is natural cast iron with an enamel coating inside and a traditional black cashew coating outside to help prevent rusting. The mesh insert will keep out all but the tiniest of tea leaves.
