Kaiden Nagura 2000 grit
A nagura can used for a number of reasons. Before using harder compound stones rub the nagura over the surface of the host stone, it will speed up the sharpening process by activating the grit and binder in the host stone. Also some stones tend to glaze over very easily. In this case just rub the nagura over the surface to remove the embedded steel particles and to reveal a clean fresh layer of sharpening grit.
The Kaiden 2000 nagura is ceramic and is designated MEDIUM hardness. It is best used on stones with grits around 2000 to 3000 to give a little more cutting power.
Pre soak the nagura for about 10 minutes before use.
