Dashi Stock 10 Serves

Dashi stock is the cornerstone of Japanese cuisine, forming the umami-rich foundation of countless traditional dishes. This restaurant-grade Japanese dashi comes in convenient sachets filled with a carefully balanced blend of dried bonito, dried herring, unrefined shoyu, and dried kelp.

Each sachet produces 400ml of beautifully clear, aromatic dashi that is light in sodium yet full of deep, savoury flavour.

Perfect for enhancing classics such as miso soup, noodle broths, and nabemono, this dashi delivers authentic taste with ease and consistency.

To made dashi, simply place one sachet in 400ml of cold water in a pot. Bring to a simmer and after 4-5 minutes you will have delicious, restaurant quality dashi.

Add a big dollop of miso and sliced green onions to make miso soup, or add Japanese shoyu and true mirin (optional) (to taste) for a clear noodle broth.
