Profile

Takamura Tsuchime 165mm Santoku

Takamura knives have a reputation for being sharp, rare, highly sought after and very expensive. The Tsuchime Santoku ticks three of those boxes but at a more approachable price.

Tsuchime Series

The Tsuchime series carries the same pedigree as the R2 lines of Takamura but using VG10 steel and a less complex grind to keep the price down. The unique hammer mark texture gives the range personality and the hardness of around 61 HRC makes for easier resharpening than its more senior siblings. A stainless steel knife made for left or right handed use with a 50:50 V bevel. A great bench series for service.
