Mcusta Zanmai is a leader in the Japanese knife industry. Their modern Japanese designs and technologically advanced workshop are the envy of their peers. Unlike many mass produced blades which are stamped, MCUSTA blades are precision laser cut, and the components are CNC machined to assure a perfect fit.

Thousands of hours of research go into each new Japanese knife design using 3D CAD to ensure the ultimate in ergonomics.

From there, individual components are CNC machined or laser cut. After highly specialized sub zero tempering, the blades are ground using high tech machines with the accuracy of 1/1000th of a degree. The knives are then further refined on Japanese waterstones by master MCUSTA craftsmen.
