When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
We may perform analyses such as user behaviour /navigation of our website and other analyses such as demographic analyses.

HOW DO YOU GET MY CONSENT?

We do not sell your personal information to any other organisation under any circumstance. We do not disclose your personal information unless you have consented, unless required to by federal or state legal jurisdiction or for a matter of public safety, or if you violate our Terms of Service. We may disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes of Chef’s Armoury business only.
SECTION 4 - WEBSITE TRANSACTIONS
To process a transaction, credit card details are encrypted compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard and American Express. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the services of third parties to help administer our website. These third parties are only permitted to use this information for specific Chef’s Armoury business purposes.
We may use third parties to help collect and aggregate customer information, however none of this information will be able to identify you individually.
SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
SECTION 7 - COOKIES
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Like many websites, we use "cookies" (small data files stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive) and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses our website such as your browser type, IP address, operating system, pages visited etc. Cookies are also used to study traffic patterns, analyse advertising and promotions and to generate statistics such as “user sessions”.
SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT
If you are under the age of 18 years, you cannot place orders with Chef’s Armoury. Should Chef's Armoury suffer any damages or losses as a result of processing the transactions of a minor, compensation will be sought from the parents/guardians of the minor that placed the transaction. Chef’s Armoury will not be liable for any damages that may result as a misrepresentation of age by a user of this website.
