1000 grit budget Nakato from Naniwa

Used as the second step in the sharpening process or to refine the bevel. Can also be used for minor repair work. Soft abrasive with a smooth cutting action. This is an excellent stone for the price but for faster cutting action you might want to consider the Naniwa PRO.

Naniwa Traditional Stones

This series of sharpening stones from Naniwa are made from the same high quality grit as the Naniwa PRO series but made from softer resin with less grit for those on a budget.

These stones are made from tightly packed resin bonded grit and have the following advantages:

  • Faster cutting than other budget stones
  • Long lasting

N.B. These stones do not have a plastic bases like our previous ranges. You can purchase a sturdy rubber base here
