8000 grit Shiageto from Naniwa

Amazing cutting and polishing action to suit the enthusiastic sharpener. A very firm stone that is best used in conjunction with Tsujima nagura.

Naniwa Traditional Stones

This series of sharpening stones from Naniwa are made from the same high quality grit as the PRO series but made from a softer resin with less grit for those on a budget.

These stones are made from tightly packed resin bonded grit and have the following advantages:

  • Minimal pre soaking required
  • Faster polishing than regular stones
  • Long lasting
  • Much less mess than “cement” type stones

N.B. These stones do not have a plastic bases like our previous ranges. You can purchase a sturdy rubber base here
