Flattening Stone from Kaiden - Large

Keeping your stones flat is an essential part of the sharpening process, however can take a long time if you don't have the right tools.

Luckily the Kaiden flattening stone is the right tool. It cuts down a wobbly stone in a businesslike and efficient manner even faster that the good old diamond plate we used to use.

It is best to flatten your stones a little and often. We recommend to flatten your stones after sharpening 6 to 8 knives.

If flattening stones 1000 grit and above, we highly recommend using a synthetic nagura to smooth off the surface of the stone after using the Kaiden flattening stone.

Dimensions:

205mm (L) x 65mm (W) x 32mm (H) - approximate stone dimension

Do not drop as the stone will crack.

Do not leave under water for long periods of time as the stone will deteriorate and break apart.

Soak just prior to use until the stone is waterlogged and the bubbles stop rising.

Rinse and leave to dry after use.

Do not store unless fully dry.
